HOLIDAY GIFT IDEA!!

Perfect for the Frugal Snob, Olivia Harris is the more affordable line from the design team of Gryson. The bags have a broader appeal with a trendy but not overly specific styles. This is a great everyday bag that would be great for the younger girl – it makes a great work or school bag as it is just big enough to fit a 13″ laptop and has a shoulder strap to carry that extra weight (bag measures 11″ x 15″). The sturdy worn-in leather will hold up if you do plan on rugged use of it. It is not a blow-me-away “must have” but the basic style and color will carry you through many seasons. That’s also why this makes a great gift idea, it is so hard to buy bags for people, it is so deeply personal and you never really know what makes the heart tick but you know this bag will strike a chord with that certain easy going, pragmatic girl who is always stylish without trying hard. And the price is fantastic for what you are getting, $495 at Neiman Marcus.

  1. Like wow- my first thought was: Who´s old bag is this ? It really looks worn out and I wonder how many young girls would like something like this for a present. The price is low but too high for an old bag!

  2. Sorry Kelly, for $500 this bag is kinda been there done that. There is no “trace of genius” factor that you find in most Gryson bags. This bag is vanilla.

  3. The bag is okay, definitely not WOW factor, but maybe make a good workhorse. Whenever I think of this price range for bags, I always tell myself, you could spend a few hundred more and get a really WOW bag. I like RM too, but 600 ish for a bag always seems so high for that for some reason. I would rather spend the 1000 or more and get something really really yummy and these other RM type bags on sale 😀

  4. I actually really like this bag! I love the way you described it Kelly – I know I would definitely enjoy receiving it as a gift. It sounds perfect for me!
