Golden Globe Trends

With the exception of a few stars who went for color — most notably Eva Longoria Parker in a red Reem Acra number — and some that went for prints — Maggie Gyllenhaal in an animal print Lanvin gown — most stars opted for neutrals and very little glitz at this year’s Golden Globes. What does that mean? If you ask me it means snooze! I totally get being respectful of the times and not busting out any 200 carat diamond necklaces, but it seems as though the stars had absolutely no fun with their frocks. Yes there were some perfectly nice dresses, but no stunners. There were however some very, VERY poor choices — I’d love to know what Eva Mendez’ stylist was thinking when she recommend that the star have — excuse my language but — fabric vomit! Carolina Herrera is of course uber-talented, but what is the deal with the two-piece mess poor Renee Zellweger got stuck wearing!?? Most of all I was disappointed by Marchesa. One of my faves usually, the Marchesa number Jennifer Lopez wore looked nothing if not cheap and unimaginative while Miley Cyrus wore one that looked almost like a wedding gown! What about you — what did you think? Hits? Misses?

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?
