Hästens – Bed for the King of Sweden

hasten_cribmattress.jpg

My very serious back problem has led me on a hunt for a mattress that has equal amounts of give and support so that my spine stays absolutely straight while I sleep. This search has led me to Hästens, the absolute most high end of beds, in fact, the King of Sweden sleeps on one of these. The prices range from a steep $6,500 to a whopping $67,500. It sounds ridiculous but these beds are so amazingly comfortable that I am about to sell all my worldly processions to buy one. The prices vary depending on thickness of mattress, thus amount of material used. Everything is 100% organic (genuine horsehair for absorption of heat and moisture and allows proper ventilation), and it’s all handmade and comes with a lifetime guarantee. It is hard to justify the price tag without first hand account – it is like sleeping on a cloud! They make a crib mattress that has all the benefits but is only $700. They offer this without a markup because they understand the importance of proper sleep for babies and kids (and well, to get them hooked while their young!). The children’s mattress cover is machine washable. I would seriously consider this if you are in the market for a crib mattress because you are getting something really extraordinary for a high but still accessible price. Go to their website for store information.

  1. Shopping for a new bed can be a grueling experience.

It is a jungle out there with so many gimmicks and misrepresentations.

I have sold Hastens Beds for the past six years in California; in fact I was the Managing Director of California’s first Hastens store.

Selling these fantastic beds has been nothing but a passion since day one.

Why? Because I have been privileged for so many years now to witness what a profound difference a real good night’s sleep makes in our client’s lives.

I have seen anything from allergies that have gone away, to clients with severe to moderate pain issues that have found relief overnight in a Hastens. Obviously there are no guarantees for this.

There have also been so many clients who never realized how much their bad sleep affected their daily activities. One thing that I CAN guarantee though is that when it comes to selecting a new bed for your health, a Hastens is your best shot.

Don’t make the mistake believing that a more expensive Hastens bed is healthier for you. When it comes to the materials used it is all the same in all of them, so the health benefits are the same. You will spend 10 days per month (one third of your life) in natures own materials.

When it comes to comfort, well you have to be the judge of that. Never buy a Hastens bed without trying it first. It is probably the last bed you buy in your life.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have regarding beds in general or Hastens in specific.

If I can help you find a bed that is the right one for you, I have done my job.

  2. Hi Peter,

I bought the excelsior medium in July, 2010. The very first night I slept on the bed, it was hard and lumpy. I woke up with a mild shoulder ache which dissipated as the day progress. Then, in addition to the shoulder ache, I am awaken thoughout the night with numbness to my arms. Now, I have severe shoulder join pain. I cannot lift my arms without pain. Fortunately, all the pains dissipate a few hours after I get up. I am afraid that my pain will stay if I continue to sleep on this bed. The thing is, I love the exelsior medium in the Dream showroom at Buttercup in LA. I went there to try the bed again and my salesman agreed that it is good support for me. It is soft and supportive. However, my bed at home is very firm. She also told me to unzip the mattress and check the color mark on the spring, and it is yellow, whick is the same color as the one in the showroom. I think that someone may mark the yellow on the firm spring in error. Since you are the salesman for Hastens, what is your thought? I would love to hear your recommendation.
