Now that it is officially spring, everything is blossoming, including bags. Why not include accessories in the new bloom? I know I have done nothing but rag on the Valentino crap flowery bags but for some reason I am taken by this one. The ruffles are more abstract so they’re not literally flower pedals like the others, the looseness of the giant vertical folds work great for a long tote and of course the color, this blue, is so divine and gorgeous, it just makes me lust. I figured, if I need a big utilitarian tote, I can still do so with some flare and this definitely is more fun than a plain sack. I am so glad the cold weather is behind us, that means the cute dresses and shorts and super fun bags to go with. I just got back from NY where it was in the 60’s and I walked around in a t-shirt and jeans, this bag would have come in handy to complete the look. I´d really like this one a lot more if it had roses on the other side as well, and- in a different color ; off-white maybe.
I’m sorry Kelly, but I don’t know why you ladies are so hard on Valentino this season. I have several of the new bags and they are truly beautiful. I was on a flight to Chicago last week, and a very nice gentleman asked me if he could photograph my Valentino bag with the big ruffled rose on it in tan so his wife could see it because the workmanship on it was outstanding…I was wearing my new tan Gucci loafers with the big wooden wedge as well and he photographed them also…
I love this blue Valentino bag but will not buy it because I’ve met my quota of Spring/Summer handbags…

it’s a cute purse…but for $2300!!!?!???! no way!! i would actually pay maybe up to $2000 for a bag that’s timeless, but not for something so trendy.

I LOVE THIS BAG! Mine arrived about 5 days ago, and i have not been able to put it away. It holds and disguises everything from sippy cups to my sandals when i go get a pedi. It is so soft and beautiful too!
I recently saw this bag at a shoe shop in town and it was simply fabulous, there is a simpler rose tote that comes in a deep turquoise that was gorgeous as well.
I love this bag too!!! But yes I agree its a little expensive for my wallet as well. But I just came across Lockheart’s new Rosa and it is similar and at less than half the price tag. I just saw it on their new website http://www.lockheart.com I am quickly becoming a huge fan!

I bought this bag from Saks and I will say that a day does not go by without someone oohing and ahhing over my Valentino!!! I have this exact color–a great way to add some color to an outfit–I LOVE IT!!!
