  1. Natalie Portman. Our family buys lots of organicically grown food, we also grow quite a bit ourselves, we recycle and use our own bags for grocery shopping!

    I try to reduce the amount of garbage that I throw away and I make serious attempts to not waste water.

  3. Natalie Portman. My dad passed away of Cancer two weeks ago which left the subject of Cancer on my mind on Earth Day. My mother also has Cancer. She mentioned to me once that organic berries, yogurt and pastas are good a great way to stay in remission. I decided to go to the a a local store and stock the fridge with all organic berries and several different pastas. I think this is a perfect example of how the Earth is WHAT YOU EAT. God bless.

    I but many of my clothes at thrift stores and donate all my old clothes back to thrift stores.

  5. Natalie Portman. I’m a college student, and I am in charge of the recyling program for two dorms at Oklahoma State. We recycle plastics, aluminum, paper, cardboard, and glass.

    Instead of using ziploc bags, I reuse containers. Also, I commute only by walking or taking public transportation.

    And we reuse our bathtowels, reducing the number of towels we use and lowering the number of washer/dryer loads per week, saving electricity, gas and water.

    Today we went shopping and brought our re-usable bags. We also planted native plants to use less water and fertilizer.

    We recycle everything possible and compost all of our vegetative waste. We grow our own veggies, herbs and flowers and collect rainwater off of the roof to use for irrigation.

    Our land is a certified NWF wildlife sanctuary.
