Defy Your Age Giveaway!

BeautyAwardsProducts1.JPG
A few days ago I went to an event held by Prevention Magazine to showcase their Defy Your Age Beauty Winners. There were 7 winners in all —

  • Best Day Lotion with SPF: Olay ProX Age Repair Lotion SPF 30
  • Best Night Cream: Roc Multi-Correxion Night Treatment
  • Best Lip Treatment: Lancome L’Absolu Rouge La Base Revitalizing Lip Treatment SPF 10
  • Best Microdermabrasion Treatment: Estee Lauder Idealist Dual-Action Refinishing Treatment
  • Best Adult Acne Treatment: Avon Clearskin Professional Acne Treatment System
  • Best Hand Cream: Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Age Shield
  • Best Eye Cream: SPF 30

Eye Cream: Skin Effects by Jeffrey Dover Cell 2 Cell Anti-Aging Eye Treatment

The winners were picked with the help of 7 leading dermatologist who tested 35 of the most promising products of the year on 175 women over the age of 40. They had each woman undergo two Visia Skin Analysis (a multi-spectral imaging machine that snaps a digital picture of your face and then delivers multiple images identifying problem areas in your complexion — ie acne, large pores, sun damage, wrinkles…). The first analysis was done before using the to-be tested product and the second was done after an eight week testing period.

Intrigued by the winning products? Now you can win all 7 (over $200 value)! We will pick the winner via a random drawing on August 14.

For a chance to win, in the comments, tell us what skincare product you’d nominate for a beauty award (doesn’t have to be from the list above).

Only US residents please.

  1. I really like Olay ProX’s eye cream; I purchased it when it first came out and used the entire container (a rarity for me, since I usually move on too quickly from one product to the next!).

  2. I would nominate Blinc mascara for a beauty award – it started the tube-mascara trend and is still the best

  3. I nominate Bobbi Brown’s hydrating eye cream! I have not had a bit of puffiness since I started using it. I’m dedicated enough that I even take it camping with me.

  4. Oooo… the lush angel’s products (mostly bare skin). After I started using Angels on Bareskin, people complement me on my skin all the time… a totally new occurrence.

Then my sister, with even more problem skin than me started using dark angels… and its completely cleared up her face!

  5. I was so excited when I saw this list because I tried a trial of Estee Lauder Idealist Dual-Action Refinishing Treatment and loved it SO much! It makes your skin feel ridiculously soft and so much healthier. It would be fantastic to get a full size of it (at 49.95, buying it is a bit of a splurge.)

  6. I love face wipes. I generally use one from Oil of Olay. I was really bad about washing my face at night until I found these.

  7. Tazorac…it is the only thing that has worked on my extremely acne prone skin plus its not too drying since its a cream.

  8. Juice Beauty’s antioxidant serum and green apple antioxidant moisturizer. These two products are amazing!! I bought mine at Sephora a couple months ago and ever since i began using them all my fine lines and impurities are gone! The best part is that Juice Beauty is certified organic! Doesn’t get much better than that!

  9. I nominate the Ren Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask because it makes my skin feel brand spankin’ new each time I use it!

  10. I’d most DEFINITELY say philosophy’s microdelivery exfoliating wash. My skin goes crazy without it. It’s the one product I always bring on trips.

  11. As first runner up for Best Hand Cream, I nominate Aveeno’s Intense Relief Hand Cream. It’s inexpensive and SO effective at soothing rough, dry hands!

  12. I nominate a prescription topical retinoid because it fights acne, pigmentation, and wrinkles. It’s available in various strengths and formulas.

  13. I nominate a prescription topical retinoid because it fights acne, pigmentation, and wrinkles. It’s available in various strengths and formulas.

  14. I’d nominate Philosophy “handmade” lemon custard hand cream- because it smells so yummy and leaves my hands smooth and refreshed!

  15. I nominate plain aul’ glycerin soap! It does a great job cleaning the skin and doesn’t dry it out like other ordinary soaps. I use it every day and I have blemish free skin.
