Bag Snob note: I scheduled this yesterday afternoon but last night when Kelly saw it online she got so excited she posted it. I decided to post my version anyway since I actually saw the samples and have a few more details for you 🙂 So please excuse the double post on the bag, we just love it!!!
We have gotten so many emails about this bag and I am so glad it is finally here! Olivia Harris Round Sac is sure to be the biggest hit for Fall in the under $500 bag market. Utterly urban and slouchy cool, it’s Givenchy for Frugal Snobs! Many of you asked about the colors, the one I spoke of is a dark distressed black/gray they call Black Coffee (photo on left). Wood is a medium shade of brown (photo on right) that is also distressed and is actually a more neutral shade to go with everything. I love that Joy Gryson (designer of Olivia Harris) put the versatile pockets with a side zip option so you can leave it down for a totally different look. I actually played with samples of this bag in the showroom (tried to steal it but Peter Gryson, Joy’s hubby and partner, is like 6’2″ so I couldn’t sneak it past him) and it is incredibly lightweight and sturdy. The leather is from Italy and very soft with so many little details you can’t see in photos like the small studs placed strategically around the bag. So exciting, my only dilemma is the color to get. Heck at this price I’ll take both (plus the distressed white I ordered for Resort 2010– oops, that won’t be ready until December, I should not tease you like this!
