Helen Mirren was photographed in this Lana Marks Concord Clutch in red alligator. I first took notice of Lana Marks bags a few years back when a few actresses (Kate Winslet, Julie Christie) were photographed wearing 40-carat diamond-and-alligator Lana Marks clutches valued at $100,000. Mostly I took notice because I thought that the diamonds were completely lost on the clutches. I also think alligator and diamonds make for a pretty cringe-worthy combo. Done simply in alligator however, the clutch is perfectly chic and fitting for someone like Helen Mirren. There’s nothing hip or young about it and I can’t imagine anyone fashion forward toting it around, but for those who value understated simplicity I think it’s fab.
