New from Living Proof No Frizz

Pretty much every Sephora in NYC has a big stand with Living Proof products smack dab in the middle when you first walk in. Clearly there’s something to this line. First off the packaging is smooth and compact (the outside is coated with something that feels like rubber). Then there’s the smell which is light, refreshing, and completely unobtrusive and lastly, there’s the fact that the line actually works! I’ve been using a mix of MoroccanOil for my hair tips and Living Proof Straight Making No Frizz Styling Spray for Fine to Medium Hair for my root and mid-hair sections post showering when my hair is damp and my frizz has been, for the most part, under control even amidst the nasty sticky weather. Now things have gotten even easier because Living Proof has launched a shampoo and conditioners.

Each product has been developed to address the dryness and damage often associated with hair prone to frizz. More after the jump!

The formulas utilize a new delivery system that deposits

No Frizz’s key ingredient, PolyfluoroEster, on the hair,

allowing it to remain even after rinsing for continued frizz protection. For the bulk of the summer I’ve been using Kerastase Oleo Relax hair mask even though it’s targeted for much thicker, coarser hair than my own, because it was helping to tame my frizz. With the Living Proof products however I can achieve the same effect without weighting down my hair. Lowdown on each new product below!

  • Living Proof Shampoo ($24) was developed with

PolyfluoroEster and SLMI, a gentle, sulfate-free surfactant that gives a rich lather, but removes any trace of dirt or oil

    without stripping the hair.

  • Living Proof Conditioner ($24) also contains

PolyfluoroEster, but is completely devoid of the heavy oils, silicones

and butters found in many frizz-fighting conditioners so it doesn’t

    weigh hair down.

  • Living Proof Leave-In Conditioner ($24) is best for drier hair, incorporating PolyfluoroEster with lightweight glycerin as

the key moisturizing component instead of heavy oils (it’s one of the only oil-free, silicone-free leave-in conditioners).
