Oh these boots make me think of my younger wilder days – I was a total boot chick and I wore super high boots with straps and hardware galore to the office. Luckily, I worked in fashion and my boss gave me approving nods! So don’t think I’m going to let this Combat Boot trend pass me by. Now the questions is, which one? There are so many and so many good ones! I am also happy to note that the flat heels on these are making me and my chiropractor feel very relieved =) OK, there are a few other questions like, how rugged do I want them? How high? And how much hardware? I have narrowed the field down to these 6, with a range in price and level of city appropriateness.

The DVF Safari Motorcycle Boots for $395 is such a great price. You can’t dress these up, but that’s the point right? Or are they a little too rough and tumble with the treads on the sole?

The Giuseppe Zanotti Crystal-Heel Motorcycle Boot for $1745 on the other hand, is incredibly posh. The crystal heel is ridiculously amazing! But then, you can’t exactly kick these around. But seriously, we are not actually going into combat with these.

Prada’s Motorcycle Boots for $850 is more demure and is more of a riding boot than a combat boot, but I love the versatility it gives. You can go from rocker to refined.

I never would have guessed the Tory Burch customer is in touch with their “street” style but these Stowe Flat Motor Boots for $495 obviously shows a different side that I was not aware of. These are almost too “worker” boot like, they may be hard for dresses and skirts.

I like to keep my boots for a few season so these studded Jimmy Choo York Motorcycle Boots for $1195 is probably off the list for me but they are super cool!!

My favorite for the price and look is probably the Miu Miu Leather Biker Boots for $730, but now I just feel like I’m jumping on the bandwagon. It has the perfect amount of hardware and with the slim top, will be better for going under pants.

  1. Kelly, I voted for the Miu Miu and to be honest, I am not being completely impartial because I bought them myself after Tina’s review! Tina’s review was spot-on and I just love that they are sleek and stylish, yet still have a hint of attitude! I normally wear a size 7, but it was too big so I went with a 6.5. I am 43 and I don’t care if anyone thinks they are too young for me. I plan to wear them with skinny jeans and a nice oversized cashmere Vince sweater in charcoal grey with a white tee. Keeping it understated! Hope you find a pair you love!

  2. I voted for the Prada, though the Miu Miu caught my eye too. The Prada looks like a more refined version of the Miu Miu boot. I think its easier to dress up and down, rather than the Miu Miu which I can’t see dressed up.

  3. Ah, yeah, the only problem is NONE of the boots pictured fit the ‘combat boot’ trend. These are all MOTORCYCLE style boots. Nice boots, but wrong title.
