Gwen Stefani in LAMB Deco Fisher

gwen in lamb.jpgL.A.M.B. Deco Fisher

What happened to LAMB?? I was such a fan when the line first hit (except for the shoes — I own two pairs and they rank high amongst the worst quality-for-price shoes I’ve ever purchased), but this L.A.M.B. Deco Fisher Bag ($201.32) is a total Jimmy Choo knock-off! It looks like the result of a baby between the Jimmy Choo Carolina Oversized Clutch and their Oversized Day Clutch. Of course the price of the LAMB piece is substantially lower than anything from Jimmy Choo and I do like the shape and hardware of the purse, I just could never fathom buying anything that was so blatantly inspired by another brand.

Does anyone else think this LAMB piece is too close for comfort to Jimmy Choo?

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. How about posting a picture of the Jimmy Choo? I have never been a fan of L.A.M.B., I don’t like my handbags, shoes or otherwise designed by singers or celebrities. Especially celebs I don’t care for. Gwen is cute, but Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson are .. well. Let’s just say, I don’t care for their personal style.

  2. This collection launched in August which means it was designed months prior. There are 6-8 bags in the collection which mimic the curvilinear patchwork of suede and patent. Unless Gwen has a spy in the Jimmy Choo design department I would chalk this up to a coincidence.

  3. I recently bought the bag and I am very happy with it. I got numerous compliments on it at a recent Jimmy Choo charity party. no one pointed out that it looked like a Jimmy Choo bag.

  4. how sad that all you have to do all day is comment on who’s copying who in the handbag world. how about looking for pioneers of an important emerging field – those that are committed to an ethical and ecological future for the fashion world.
