Khloe Kardashian in Daphne Duffle

I have a pet-peeve for bags or clothing that are designed to look vintage/used when they’re brand new. Personally I’m not into vintage, because I don’t like wearing things that I don’t know who has touched before me or where they’ve been, but if you like the look just hit up Resurrection or What Goes Around Comes Around and get something authentic! Newly married Khloe Kardashian is pictured above in the Alexander Wang Daphne Duffel Bag which, on a side note, is way too big to be worn as an everyday bag especially when styled with a super-short mini. It’s leather, but is designed to look like worn-in denim — eeck…why!? Plus the dreary gray, white, black combo is way too depressing. The shape and size do make the bag convenient for travel (too big for everyday, but too small for weekender), but that’s not enough to splurge on this especially since the hardware isn’t particularly eye-catching. It gets a Slob vote from me.

What do you think about Khloe’s Alexander Wang? Snob or Slob?

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. The Coco Mini Duffel is so much nicer – this bag looks more like a weekender! And concerning vintage I totally agree with you: You never know who wore it before you (urgh!)

  2. I have many vintage bags. I’m not getting the germ thing. Any bag you buy new, has been touched by many hands. The construction, to distribution, to stores, etc. If they are out for display, many people will touch the bag. You can spray them with Lysol, if you are very concerned .Not loving this bag. He has other bags that are much more attractive.

  3. I don’t have the time to hunt for vintage, but I’ll use quality reseller websites where the editing is already done. The germ thing doesn’t bother me, besides the moment you walk out the door everyone wears used.

As for this bag – am I the only person who hates it when the bottom of the bag sags and bulges with the weight of what is in the bag? I know, so unhip of me to hate slouch, but most of the time it just looks messy and wrong.

  4. I also hate when large bags like that slouch once you put anything in them. This look is a slob. The shorted the skirt, the smaller the bag.

  5. I am not loving this bag…it is drab, slob and shapeless (is that a grapefruit at the bottom?!?)…Kim…how did you let her out…wait…you wanted the attention.

  6. I actually love all the Alexander Wang bags. They’re different, a little more edgier but really subtle. The bag is not worn appropriately. It’s a great everyday bag for girls who like their bags big and slouchy(like me). A more casual, downtown look will be much complimentary to the bag.

  7. I think beyond vintage has some incredible tops. Its got a feminin sexy updated feel. the fits great too. really different and fresh

ummm… have you ever stayed in a hotel room?

Also thank you Sherry for reiterating my point.

  9. I don’t really care for the giant duffel bag; but I want to reply to your ridiculous vintage comment. I own an enviable collection of stunning used Hermes bags and would acquire one any day over a new Coach, Cole Haan or even Prada bag. The germ thing makes no sense whatsoever. No one knows my Hermes bags were initially purchased by someone else, who cares – they’re mine now, they’re eco-friendly (why kill more animals – buy a bag that already exists) and they’re awesome!
