Mata Hari: Fun Coin Purses

mata hari 1.jpgmata hari.jpg

For the days/nights when you need the bare minimum, I love Mata Hari’s coin purses. They’re super-cutesy, young, and fun, but they usually have metallic details that give them a touch of hard-edge glam. Plus they’re very affordable which is always nice (especially given how light wallets tend to be post-holiday shopping…:-( ). The pieces pictured above retail for $58 for the white mini circle chain bag with silver studs and $62 for the star-shaped Hilary Bag (the strap is removable). The leather used in their pieces is always soft and while the coin purses are my fave, Mata Hari also makes a variety of handbags and totes.

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. Give this girl a break. Personally, I will always like Tina’s entries best because we seem to have very similar taste but I’ve grown tired of this war against Sharon. It is selective editorial Sara, they write about what they like-that’s what called selective! I’m guessing most readers cannot afford crocodile skin Birkin so Sharon’s efforts should be more appreciated.

  2. I am sorry but these bags are hideous and cheap looking. I don’t see how a MBMJ classic can be called poorly constructed, but these and the cat bag are o.k.? Ridiculous!

  3. You took the words right out of my mouth. I become more and more confused every time I come to this site. What’s happened to it?

  4. hey lina, i am not aware of any war on sharon or any other person on this site (although i’ve to admit, you made me go back and read). many of us come here because the reputation this site builds over the years. but we can’t applaud a post just because it features something that “cost less from a birkin”. i’m all for a good bargain, and i love quirky too. but come on! this is after all Bag Snob!

  5. These are cute, use it once or twice and put it away, donate it or toss it. It takes a cool, confident woman to carry this off. It doesn’t matter how much it cost. If you have great personal style, it won’t matter. I would NOT wear it with either of the outfits pictured.
