First Aid Beauty Healing Stick

One of my best friends from Cornell, Paul, lives in Nicaragua, so a few weeks ago I decided to hop on a plane, escape the city snow, and pay him a visit. When I asked him what I should pack/expect he described Nicaragua to me as being like “a safe, small poor African town without the safari animals,” and told me to pack like I was going to Miami…sounded good to me! Turns out this time of year is their “windy season” so it wasn’t as warm as I had hoped, but luckily there weren’t as many bugs as I feared! Unfortunately though trips to rain forests and a volcano did come with some bites (not to mention that Paul’s house is located amidst a sprawling landscape of trees, flowers, and the utmost in lush greenery…helloo itchyness and sneezing). Needless to say I was still itchy when I got back to NYC. Solution? The First Aid Beauty Healing Stick ($14). First Aid Beauty is a new line that has both daily skincare basics along with affordable emergency care products for common skin issues. The Healing Stick is super-versatile and can be used to relief everything from itchy bug-bites to soothing your down-there region post-wax (it’s 1% hydrocortisone which is good to apply 48hrs post-wax/sugaring). It can even be used to treat dry patches! Def a great buy to keep in your purse this time of year (it’s nice and compact).
