So for Fall 2010, Bottega has a new fabrication in which they made cellophane paper look like leather (it is woven together with leather). Just thought it’d be interesting to point out that that is the reverse of what they have here, leather woven to look like raffia (there is actual raffia woven in). Oh, Tomas you always keep us girls guessing! I just love the decadent concept, you know the fact that a raffia looking bag is actually $3480. Of course, it is incredibly beautiful with the texture and color variations. The really cool part is that it still crinkles like raffia when you touch it. A minor novelty I know but it keeps the conversation going since you would have to make sure people knew it was in fact leather. At Net-a-Porter.
