Christian Louboutin Talita Clutch

louboutin_talita.jpg

Let me just start off by saying the photo doesn’t do this bag justice. It’s stunning in person! In fact, I happened to be shopping at Hirshleifer’s in Manhasset, NY when this clutch caught my eye. I immediately thought back to the Louboutin Mary-Jane’s Christian designed for a past Rodarte show that featured humungous spikes protruding all over (remember those?) This clutch is the perfect complement! It’s very light, although the spikes are indeed metal, and surprisingly roomy given its compact size. The multi-color mixed leather is very stylish and I like the ruching of the leather cascading down the front on either side. To keep from inadvertently stabbing yourself when you carry it, Louboutin designed a wrist handle that’s nicely festooned with silver studs but allows enough smooth leather for your hand to grasp.

  1. I agree it’s different and interesting but it’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. I’m glad you featured it though, I would not have seen this atrocity! there are no Loub boutiques around me.

  2. Wow..I’ve got to hand it to Louboutin. He really knows how to work structure and clean lines into his shoes and bags. I think I would like this if it were in one shade of black made from different materials and textures, with just a flash of red or magenta to give it a kick. Other than that, I am LOVING the spikes!

  3. I’m pretty sure I would end up accidentally stabbing myself in the upper thigh if I held this clutch the wrong way. Then again, I wouldn’t want to be seen alive with this monstrosity, so maybe that’s a good thing.

  4. what on earth, are you really genuinely enthusiastic about this clutch? Sorry but have to question your judgment here. This post completely muddles the blog’s chic, discerning, sophisticated identity.

  5. Does Bag Snob Jim ever dislike anything? I feel like he doesn’t state his true opinions because he is scared of offending his friends in the fashion world. This isn’t the first hideous bag that he has ‘liked’, in fact there have been quite a few. Louboutin should stick to shoes, 99% of his bags are awful.
