New at Completely Bare

A few weeks ago I went to Completely Bare to learn about their new Bikini/Bum Facial ($135)…sounds intriguing, no? The facial is geared towards those who wax frequently and it is meant to minimize the damage caused by waxing, shaving, and from ingrowns (which result in discoloration, scarring, and hyper-pigmentation), while treating acne, age spots, and rough skin. I didn’t even know my bum could have all of those issues! The treatment lasts 45-60min and while I didn’t try it myself, I spoke to a man (yes, man), who did and the relaxation was all over his face and in his laid-back speech. The spa has also developed a Pink Diamond Spray Tan ($75), which they displayed on a glowing model. Each spray provides a half carat to a carat of diamonds and you can spotlight a particular part of your body with an air-brushed hint of shimmer. I didn’t try this either, but from the model’s skin it was evident that it’s distinctly more glimmering and I kind of love the idea of saying you’re – literally – covered with a carat of diamonds:-)

While there I also checked out their new products and found one that I’m loving – Completely Smooth for Body, $42 (they’ve also got Completely Smooth for Face, $28) which has been clinically proven to visibly diminish hair texture by up to 55%, density by up to 50%, and length by up to 30%. Of course there’s no way for me to tell for sure, but my down-there-hair does seem to be less dense. The only downside is that you have to apply the cream twice a day. I hear laser calling my name louder and louder…

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. only be careful to check out what “permanent” means when you consider laser.

it may be a technical term and may only mean hair free for “x” number of months as oppose to how you and I would use the word in conversation to mean like “forever; never have to deal with it again.” even after the recommended number of treatments.

  2. Verrrrry interesting…. as someone who takes so much care of the skin on her face, this almost seems logical, if a bit bizarre!! What does everyone else think??
