C.LILI Collection by Coralie Charriol and Giveaway!

To celebrate the launch of C.LILI bags, Coralie is giving away one of her bags to a lucky Twitter follower– all you have to do to win is to follow both Coralie (@clilibycoralie) here and Bagsnob (@bagsnob here) on Twitter! International readers welcome. We will pick a winner via random computer drawing on June 30th. Winner will choose ONE of these two bags (the Anais messenger or Lorena tote)— Good luck!

In all the years I’ve know Coralie Charriol, she’s always been understated and elegant–both in her personality and her style choices. Thus, for the launch of her first personal collection of handbags, C.LILI (her mom’s nickname for her in French), I was not surprised that this New York society fixture and the vice president and creative director of Charriol, her family’s luxury watchmaker and accessories company, designed a collection that was very much in tune with her own aesthetic. I even applaud her decision to launch the bags on QVC in lieu of a retail outlet like Bergdorf Goodman–how Democratic, no? As Charriol says, “Stylish career women, party girls and free-spirited adventurers–these are all the girls I see with a C.LILI bag on their arm.”

What’s most notable, aside from the utilitarian designs, is that the entire collection is priced at under $300. Each style is named after a significant female in her life: the Anais city bag, which can be worn messenger style over the shoulder, is $221 and named for Charriol’s daughter; the Lorena hobo ($285) is named for Lorena Perez Fett, Charriol’s laidback designer friend; the sturdy Aurelia carryall tote ($299) is named for an always on-the-go friend in Italy, and the Marielle city/evening bag ($195) is inspired by Charriol’s very stylish friend and fellow mom, Mariella Safra.

On June 21, the Anais and Lorena styles launch on QVC and at Charriol’s own Website. A few months later, during New York Fashion Week in September, the Marielle and Aurelia bags will debut in the same locations.
