Jimmy Choo Ally Medium Tote Bag

jimmy_choo_ally_medium_tote.jpg

Jimmy Choo has certainly taken a new direction in their bags, they went from over the top glam to understated chic and it is a very good move. This Ally tote is so refined and pared down, I almost thought it was a new Loro Piana design. The simple detail of the cut out for the handles takes an everyday tote to new heights by also being a statement piece that exudes style and taste. I haven’t been this excited about Choo bags since… pretty much since they started a bag collection!! I would love to see this in a bright color but for those investing in one good bag for the reason, this chocolate is delicious! At Net-a-Porter for $1995.

  1. Hi Kelly,

I know this is completely out of the subject matter but is Furla at the same level as Coach in terms of design, quality and brand? Please reply. Thank you!

  2. Hi Farah,

Yes and no. Furla has better designs, they are more sophisticated, understated and have cleaner lines. Coach has really good quality for the price and of course it has more name brand recognition. The designs cater to those who love embellishments, so if that’s what you like then you could say Coach is better. It’s a matter of choice really. I would say they are at the same level, other than the fact that Coach has broader appeal.

    Love, Kelly

  3. ive never cared for any jimmy bags that i happened across, most looked tacky and busy but i LOVE this one. clean and sophisticated. I hope this is a trend for the handbag line, and not just a fluke

  4. great post! this bag is too stunning and fabulous! I LOVE it so much! Furla has better designs, they are more sophisticated, understated and have cleaner lines. 5. Not feeling this one at all. Maybe it looks better in person but on the photo it actually looks like faux leather, in fact my grandmother has this retro chair that is covered in exactly the same looking faux leather so maybe that’s why I don’t like it, lol. I imagine you would need to wear it with a very bright coloured outfit to liven it up a bit (mustard colour would be ideal)

  6. Really nice bag, quite plain but with just enough detail. I loved the Jimmy Choo bags with the ring around the handle, saw a leopard print one that was to die for.

  7. Don’t find this bag appealing at all, it has all the design and elements i hate and find it so “aunty” looking….
