Salvatore Ferragamo “My Ferragamo” Footwear Collection

First Ferragamo launched a new Attimo women’s fragrance aimed at capturing a younger audience. Now the Florentine label is hoping to keep that influential crowd’s attention with a new footwear line called My Ferragamo. Not a new line as it is an expansion of Ferragamo’s offerings (it intends to keep its existing clientele), the collection includes four different styles–a ballet flat with a practical shoe bag, a velvet slipper, a medium-height stack-heel pump and a suede boot. The heel of the last two styles takes its cue from the house’s historic Rainbow one made with two pieces, often in different colors.

Judging by this new take on the classic Ferragamo flat, key elements are clearly color, comfort and a lighter construction (the shoes are unlined). While the classic flat has the Vara grosgrain bow, pieces in this line boast a resin plaque etched with the house’s signature and tonal or contrasting grosgrain piping. The rainbow-inspired color palette includes fuchsia, red, emerald green, mustard yellow and volcano gray alongside traditional neutrals.

$275 to $350, available at Ferragamo boutiques in September
