Honore des Pres, We Love NY

I’m on Colette’s website a lot. They’ve got an extensive selection of clothes, accessories, and beauty products and they’re one of the few places you can find brands that you won’t necessarily see everywhere else. A few months ago I was stopped dead in my tracks when on Colette’s site I saw that Honore des Pres, a brand I first wrote about a year or so ago when they made their US debut, came out with a new collection. Inspired by NYC, simply put it’s WOW!!! The collection packaging is AMAZING. Every fragrance comes in a cup (made by the British factory that manufactures Starbucks cups), a coffee cup holder and a brown bag. The packaging is uniquely amazing in fact that I couldn’t have cared less about the actual fragrance, I just needed to see this packaging up-close! I immediately emailed the founder of Honore des Pres, Christian David, who I had met some time ago and inquired about this fragrance. Turns out while it made its debut in Paris a few months ago, it won’t be coming to the US till the fall where it will be a Space NK exclusive. Jump for more!

Last week when Christian was in NYC to introduce the Space NK employees

to his collection of fragrance he met me for coffee, so that I could see

the packaging in person and smell samples of the three fragrance

collection. To die!! Christian was also carrying around no less than

four international editions of Vogue, all of which featured the We Love

NY collection. The three fragrances are –

  • I Heart Les

Carottes (my favorite – it’s made with actual organic carrots from

Harlem. It’s fresh, enticing, and possibly the most alluringly original

    frangrance I’ve ever smelled).

  • Love Coco (I’m not typically a

fan of coconut. It usually gives me a greasy, cheap feeling, but here

it’s balanced with coriander, tonka bean, vanilla bourbon, and white

cedar for a luxe beachy scent).

  • Vamp a NY (this is the most

“conservative” of the three scents, though given the name it’s no

surprise that there’s definitly some oomph to it. This was the #1

selling fragrance at Le Bon Marche in Paris last month. The head notes

    are Tuberose and Rum!).

Famed master perfumer Olivia Giacobetti

worked on all three scents and I must say, this is the line I’m most

excited to buy when it comes out this fall!
