You can always rely on Katie Holmes to work her magic on Lanvin. In town for a quick press trip to promote “The Romantics,” out Friday, Katie sported a Lanvin leopard print taffeta trench coat ($3,990) from the Fall/Winter 2010 pre-collection accessorized with a “Happy” bag in mastic crinkled calf-skin ($2,175) also from the FW10 collection while visiting the “Late Show with David Letterman” on Tuesday. Leopard, in case you’ve been living under a rock, is a massive trend for fall–I turned on my news the other day and three different female anchors were wearing leopard print blouses. Oh my! I love that she paired it with a pair of clean, nude heels; they look is at once polished and on point.
There is something weird gong on with Katie Holmes’s style. Although I like everything she is wearing, she does not seem to own it. It seems to me like she hasn’t found herself style-wise. Ah well, she is still young.
Am I the only one who is over leopard, before it even gets it’s true, fall start? I was set, mid-summer, to pick up a piece or two, but now….ugh. It has been over kill….pun intended!
