Combat cum military is never too far off the radar for Rag & Bone designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville, but for spring the CFDA Award winning designers infused a healthy dose of femininity and minimalism into the picture–the former made all the more evident by the harness bras (created by lingerie designer Jean Yu) the models wore throughout the show. But great sportswear was on its A-game in the form of fabulous parkas, tailored pantsuits and chic black blazers. As for those in-the-bedroom moments? That was evident in the long black slipdress that, for good measure, was jazzed up with a utilitarian backpack. Indeed, this was a show that played up the mixing of textures–from military-grade fabrics to the softest of nubby crochet knits.
