Chloe has become the forgotten step child after Phoebe Philo left and now that is has turned Celine around, Chloe seems even more irrelevant and passe. But this Darla tote is super cute. It won’t single handedly bring Chloe back to the limelight but for what it’s worth, this give the brand some promise. The basic shape and the lock are not ground breaking by any means but the way all of it is put together works well. Even the slightly elongated strap is cool and just different enough to make me look twice. There is an old world quality to it that I just can’t seem to put my finger on yet the look is totally modern. Whatever it is, it is definitely easy on the eye. At Net-a-Porter for $1895.
I read several fashion blogs, and most of them keep saying that Chloe has not been the same without Phoebe Philo. I keep hearing that and at the same time seeing so many fashionable people with recent Chloe bags on their arms.
Just an oberservation….I am a such a fan of Chloe and their well made bags…Phoebe or Hannah.
