Just the Sleeves, Please.

emma_justsleevesplease.jpg

I am torn on this one… Literally. I love a good cropped sweater as much as the next guy/girl. I really do. Especially in fall with some boyfriend jeans or with a cute higher wasted skirt, I dig it. But this contraption takes it to a whole new level.

Pros to the turtlesleeves are: You can have the warmth of sleeves and a turtle neck, without the annoying hassle of your cleavage being covered up (lame). You also can tell your parents that, yes; in fact, you did bring a sweater with you when you went out (suckers).

Cons to this look; Very hard to pull off and not look like you shrunk your already shrunken cropped sweater. If you don’t wear something under it you will be arrested. You’re paying $265 for sleeves and a neck. And lastly, it’s weird.

With this outfit, however, I think it works. Now, if you are thinking of trying the turtlesleeve, it is not going to be easy. But I always love a good challenge. Be prepared to get a lot of “wtf?” looks while rocking this piece. If you want to really push the envelope, just wear a bra under it. When someone complains of your inappropriate dress you can be all like “What? I’m wearing a turtle neck for goodness sake!” And then….You win.
