Hmmm, this looks familiar. Seems like the design team at Chloe is once again resurrecting the ghost of Phoebe Philo. The updates from the Paddington: smaller lock and structured shape. Both good improvements because we all complained about that hefty padlock and the floppy bag that melted into a puddle when put down, but not good enough to have another go at an “it” bag status. The mundane doctor bag is just that and a smaller lock is easier on the shoulder but looks stupidly disproportional here. The only thing I do like is the raw saddle-like feel of the leather but I reserve that look for Henry Cuir. At Saks Fifth Avenue for $1795 (price is heftier than the original Paddington padlock).
