The gorgeous Angie Harmon helped Rosario Dawson announce the nominations for the 2011 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards last week. The statuesque actress can pull off anything from the runway, unless that anything is this. I am a huge Carolina Herrera fan, yet this Spring 2011 dress leaves me severely confused.
The shape and colors are beautiful, but I can’t help but wonder what is happening on the front of the skirt. There are embroidered flowers that look like they’re held on by small duct tape pieces, random black rectangles, and then what looks like a “Hello, My Name is ___” sticker on her, er, skirt. Really, what is that? The collection was inspired by traditional clothes of Korea and botanical plates, but I’m still confused. Maybe I’m not smart enough to understand this dress, but I’m smart enough to not wear a name tag on my front and center skirt.
