Benefit High Beam Face Illuminator: Picture Perfect

Highbeam_benefit.jpgHighbeam_to_go_benefit.jpg

Via Facebook, I am often asked the same questions; where do you get your hair done, and what kind of camera do you use? I am often commenting back explaining that I get my hair done at various salons because for some reason my hair proves difficult for most humans, and it’s not the camera they like, it’s my makeup (and my photo shopping, but let’s keep that our little secret).

My secret to photo-finished perfection is this little guy. The Benefit High Bean Face Illuminator is awesome. Right before I go out I apply it to my cheek and brow bones. It makes the flash of the camera hit you just right to make you look like your skin is literally glowing without the whole pregnancy/baby thing.

Another cool thing; it also comes in a wand form. It is perfect for popping in your bag for application on the go to keep you camera ready the whole night through.

The bottle is $24 and the wand is $10 @ Sephora

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. I saw the mini high beam at sephora yestderday and I –almost– got it. I was trying to save my money! but this is seriously too good to pass up! Only 10 dollars? An applicator I like better? give it to me! 😉

  2. No problem! I had a roommate who used it and she got me hooked. It is the perfect finishing touch to my makeup. I hope you both like it as much as I do!

  3. I got the Moon Beam as a sample with another Benefit purchase and let me say I LOVE it!!! I had been wanting to buy this for some time, but I own way too much make-up to begin with (trying to cut back you know? haha) After using this for 2-3 days and scraping the little that was left in the sample packet I knew I was hooked and I needed to go out and buy it! I feel I will definitely get the $24 dollars worth…thanks for the tip about the camera too!!!

  4. Agreed, High Beam (as well as Benefit’s two other highlighters – Girl Meets Pearl and Moon Beam) are essentials for pictures. I didn’t know they had a wand componentry too – will have to pick one up!
