Top Three Red Carpet Moments of 2010

Red_carpet_3.jpg

This past year has had some pretty big red carpet moments. And well, frankly lots of pretty bad red carpet moments that some called “Top Fashion Statements” *cough* meat dress *cough*. This year I really had a thing for chiffon and ballgowns. Especially ballgowns with tiered skirts. So it was really hard for me to narrow down to a top three, and a top three that doesn’t just look like the same three dresses.

1. Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab Couture – Academy Awards. The color? The fabric? Love it. It’s so romantic and sexy at the same time. The lace peeking out from below the slit? Perfection.

2. Diane Kruger in Jason Wu- Screen Actors Guild Awards. Diane has the old Hollywood glamour look down pat. The silhouette of this dress is sexy and the color is not often seen on the red carpet.

3. Anne Hathaway in Valentino- Met Costume Institute Gala. Ah yes. A ballgown. I think if you were to look up “ballgown” in the dictionary, this picture would be there. It is absolutely stunning and the nude color is divine against Anne’s skin. Okay so her hair is blah. But this isn’t Who’s Hair Was The Best now is it?

My runners up were Kate Beckinsale in Marchesa at Cannes, Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab Couture at Academy Awards, and Emma Watson in Rafael Lopez at “Harry Potter” premiere.

  1. The meat dress wasn’t “a bad red carpet moment”. It WAS a statement – watch Ellen’s interview with Gaga for the explanation.
