Candela Leather & Mesh Pumps: This plan may have a few holes in it

This shoe has stumped me. I feel like I’m back in high school taking my chemistry regents (scratching my head, tapping my pencil, wondering what I’ll be eating for lunch).

At first glance these shoes are a bit conservative. Having a thicker heel, rounded toe and simple shape, they have the look of something you could wear everyday to work.

However, two curveballs are thrown in here; the color and the mesh peeping sides. Now, though the color looks off-white in this photo it is actually called nude, and it’s an odd choice for this shoe. When I think of mesh I think of racy, sexy and statement making. I don’t think of an off white/nude shoe that could possibly be an Easter Sunday candidate.

I feel like the customer who would enjoy the shape and functionality of this shoe isn’t the same customer who would like the mesh and vice versa. The person looking for a statement making mesh piece isn’t going to look for something with this shape.

What do you guys think? Does this shoe pull off the mesh? Or does this shoe have a few too many holes in it…
