In Country Strong, Gwenyth Paltrow wore stacked bracelets of diamond bangles, leather and beaded bracelets that remind me of this set – they were so incredible my focus kept going to them. I know some thought she was snubbed by the Academy for the non-nomination, and although I love her on screen, it might have been a sign that bracelets were more interesting than her acting. Sorry, that sounded way more brutal than it needed to be!! Anyway, the point is those bracelets are so amazing (and might have stolen an Oscar). OK, these aren’t like Harry Winston diamonds the size of Kansas but that’s exactly what is so appealing, it’s the organic feel and an overflowing of character that makes them as gorgeous as your own skin. The ones here are not the cheapest things even though they look like they should be, so I would go and find a similar look by mixing and matching your own beads, leather and real, or faux, diamond bangles to make them your own. Kelly – don’t want you to feel like you’re alone in this! I thought the movie was fine, charming enough, and had a great soundtrack…but I couldn’t take my eyes away from the jewelry! I saw some similar bracelets at Henri Bendel during Christmas that I picked up, but the price wasn’t quite as high.
