New StriVectin-SD for Sensitive Skin

I’m all about multi-tasking products, especially given how heavy my handbags tend to get, but some products kind of scare me – StriVectin used to be one of them. The original was designed as a stretch mark cream, but the buzz around it was that apply it to your face and it’s just “like” Botox. Stretch mark cream on my face?? Um, no thank you – I worry about breaking out enough as is. Plus, until I’m actually considering Botox (hopefully never!) I don’t plan on trying anything harsh on my skin because I’ve never believed in the “get worse to get better” strategy. Now that StriVectin, after many clinical trials on sensitive skin and even some skin biopsies, launched StriVectin-SD for Sensitive Skin, I may give them a whirl after all. The newbie product has the same collagen-boosting and age-fighting properties as the original, but it doesn’t have oils, fragrance, artificial colors, and dyes all of which tend to irritate sensitive-skin. There are so many products out there that say they’re for sensitive skin, it’s hard to know which to trust so it’s always a relief when I come across ones backed by lots of testing (love you Dermalogica!).

Have you used the original StriVectin? Will you try the new one?
