Natalie Portman in H&M

NataliePortman_H&M.jpg

It’s nice to see that, despite the world being her oyster, Natalie Portman isn’t beyond wearing cheap-chic. Can you blame her, though, when it looks this good? For a Vanity Fair cocktail soiree in Hollywood Thursday night, the “Black Swan” star–and major Oscar contender–donned an H&M dress from the Swedish fast fashion retailer’s upcoming Conscious Collection. What say you? The collection, with offerings for women, men and children, is made from environmentally-adapted and greener materials like organic cotton, Tencel and recycled polyester (Portman’s dress is the latter). It’s a breath of fresh air that the devout vegan and pregnant actress opted for a minimalist shade of white, trimmed in lace, when she could have worn anything of her choice. Kudos!

$49.95, available at H&M stores April 14

  1. She is so adorable. And she can probably make a paper bag look great! The dress is cute on its own, though, and you can’t beat the price!
