Prada Bags Fall 2011

What was odd about Miuccia’s runway show Thursday was that, despite proclaiming a new girlish innocence for her woman, the models encapsulating this aura seemed filled with anxiety. No more was that more evident than in the way they clutched and almost manhandled their bags. Rush, rush, rush they did down the runway. The bag shapes are petite, soft and malleable and plenty roomy for fall. Like the clothes, they have a somewhat sixties Mod vibe to them–note the oversized buckles and leather handle pieces. Again, my overall conclusion is one of disappointment with this bag collection. It’s been a long time since a Prada bag collection has bowled me over; will this dry spell ever end?

  1. Do you ever had sens of humour ? Prada is the only designer in town with sens of humour (but not in this collection), fantasy, creativity. I m not sure you are capable of understanding it. It’s not just a matter of personal taste.
