An easy, everyday espadrille. I love the crossover design, it still exudes the espadrille casualness but is tidied up a bit for dressier looks. Sometimes a loose summer dress starts to get too sloppy if you have on regular espadrilles but with these on, everything pulls together for you to be cocktail and dinner ready, especially with that ankle strap which seems to always give a sense of formality – I mean, any shoe that requires you to sit down and buckle on demands more respect (vs like a pair of flip flops, you know?).
