Tory Burch Fall 2011

Continuing with last season’s terrific Seventies vibe, Tory Burch infused a British feel no doubt inspired by her new London flagship store. Enveloped in a smart patchwork moment, Tory nicely juxtaposed the idea of English countryside in her American sportswear aesthetic. The collection was cozy, from the kilt skirts in tartan patterns and leather-trimmed shirt with fur sleeves (yet again) to the classic wide-leg palazzo pants. Nighttime saw plenty of crystals and paillettes on tunics and pants. But the standout? A stunning red velvet smoking that was a modern take of her mother’s vintage YSL suit.
