Marni Shopping Bag: An Ace in the Hole

Marni_Women_Bag.png

This bag is a tall swig of summertime refreshment. Seriously, it looks like my glass water bottle! And I love it! What could me more fun or (literally) breezier than a mega-perforated tote bag in fleshy pink? The color’s cute but not syrup-sweet, and the mature contrasting strap keeps things chic. Soft patent leather gives structured gleam, whereas oval cutouts on plain leather would compromise the integrity. This pierced shopper is more practical than it looks (or maybe this bag just brings out the optimist in me). It’s easy to keep clean, and all those holes make it lightweight. The internal pouch keeps stuff hidden and safe; with a drawstring you can keep it half-open for ease. Bonus: use this pouch with your other big totes for convenient transfer between bags.

Like many Marnis, this is truly seasonal. But you have my snob guarantee this will be relevant next season, and if you go resorting in winter, you’ll be prepared. More importantly, you’ll have such a blast now with it that you’ll get your money’s worth. At Marni for $965.

Pair with: A full-skirted dark denim dress equals flirty, polished, casual, and comfortable. Levi’s x Opening Ceremony Skirt Dress, $275.

  1. I love the color. I just can’t foresee myself paying that much money for something that looks like pink Swiss cheese. It doesn’t even look very durable.
