Temptu Launches Air Pod Tanning

I have the Temptu airbrush system, but I don’t use it too often because I live with my boyfriend and between all of his products/gadgets and all of mine there’s very little counter space. Basically it has been a kind of “out of sight, out of mind” deal with my Temptu system. When I got word from their rep a few weeks ago that they were launching a tanning collection however I busted out the system just in time for my friend Flavia’s welcome back to NY party (she moved to Paris), at her dad’s restaurant, La Grenouille. I do have to say the lighting in the restaurant is fantastic (maybe that’s why Anna Wintour and Linda Fargo are always there!), but I did get a lot of complements on my complexion and that’s in no small part due to my using the Temptu Air pod Tan Prep ($30) and Temptu Air pod Face Tan ($45).

The Tan Prep has a face smoothing formulation with salicylic acid (it basically acts like a primer), and the Gradual Face Tan is the actual pod that allows you to build the natural looking golden glow.  Both pods products are used in conjunction with the Temptu AIRbrush Makeup System and do take some practice to master.

The brand also launched a Bronzer ($35) that can be applied on top of the self-tanner for an immediate bronzed effect (versus one that builds over time). o EXFOLIATE: Always begin the self-tanning process with thorough exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores.

o GO EVEN: You want to make sure you get even coverage, so begin with a single layer so that you can build tone, layer for darker, deeper color.

o OUTER EDGES & HIGHPOINTS: Move in a circular motion around the outer edge of your face working inward. Follow with a light, even sweep across the center of the face in the areas that the sun would hit naturally. You can take that beyond the face to your shoulders and decolletage for added color.

o INSTANT BRONZE: Apply Tempty Air pod Bronzer directly over Gradual Tanner to add immediate sun kissed and bronze effects. The airbrush application will not affect the self-tanner, and will compliment the self tan with a light shimmer and golden color.
