Clarisonic’s New Deep Pore Brush

If faced with a choice I would give up every last makeup product I own before parting with my Clarisonic or Sonicare. I’ve been using a Sonicare toothbrush for nearly a decade and I haven’t had a single cavity since. As for the Clarisonic, I’ve been using it since 2008 and it has completely changed my skin. Literally you will see and feel the difference after using either one of these gadgets just once. I always feel like I’m in an infomercial when I talk about either of them in person because I get so excited about how incredibly effective they are! Needless to say I was happy to have the opportunity to meet the inventors of both devices a few days ago at a Clarisonic event.

A few other bloggers and I spent a good hour getting into the intricacies of what makes the Clarisonic work and how it’s different from anything on the market, but truth be told I didn’t need to be convinced, the proof is in the pudding. There are so many imitators out there and while I haven’t tried any of the wannabees, I can pretty much guarantee you’ll consider the Clarisonic the best investment you made for your skin in a long time. I’d suggest going with the Plus because it’s the only one compatible with all of the brand’s brush heads: delicate, sensitive, normal, body, and the recently launched deep pore cleansing one (the other systems work with every head except for body). I was given a sample of the Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head at the event and will definitely be working it into my skincare routine 1-2 times a week (in addition to daily cleaning with the regular Clarisonic brush). It doesn’t feel any different than the Sensitive brush I use on the rest of my face, so it should be fine even if you have sensitive skin. I’ve been using it on all my areas that are prone to blackheads and I imagine this is going to make my extractions a lot less painful next time I have a facial! Clarisonic now also has some limited edition Pink Brush Heads and part of the proceeds go towards the fight against breast cancer.

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. I got the clarisonic a while back and used it as directed for at least a month, but I was really disappointed. After reading great reviews all over the blogosphere and on beautysnob I was expecting a flawless skin. but I didn’t see any improvement. So ill pass on the new head. 🙁

  2. I had the same experience as Manouchka…no improvement whatsoever…I gave it to one of my friends and it changed her skin and life!

  3. I’ve been using my Clarisonic for just over a month and I’m waiting for my skin to stop being worse. A week after I started using it I had more pimples than a room full of 13 year-olds. Now the acne is starting to clear up but my cheeks are rough and bumpy. Still waiting for that glowing skin everyone else says they got!

  4. Do you exfoliate with it twice a day? That’s the mistake I made initially- it broke me out like mad! now I use it on the lowest setting with the sensitive brush head every night. while I still get the odd blemish, the overall texture and appearance is greatly improved and my pores are much smaller. The face wash used with it also makes a difference: non stripping ones like Liz Earles cleanse and polish or the one by nubo (I forget the name) are fantastic. I hope this helped 🙂

    1. Im not sure if you still use the Cleaisonic brush or not, but I just wanted to help you. make sure you wash your face with a cleanser before use. If you don’t then you are just pushing the dirt oil and makeup into your pores.
