StriVectin-SD Instant Retexturizing Scrub and Age Protect SPF

There’s something funky going on this allergy season in New York. Everyone seems to have a runny nose! I always suffer from allergies this time of year, but usually it’s teary eyes. This year’s it’s out of control sniffles and they’re on steroids when I’m out in the Hamptons. Seriously you should have seen me try to get through Core Fusion last weekend after forgetting my tissues in the car — not a pretty sight! Needless to say my nose has had a red tip these last few weeks and was getting flaky and dry. I don’t usually exfoliate regularly this time of year, but I needed something for my nose. I’ve been using StriVectin-SD Instant Retexturizing Scrub ($45) and I’m happy to say it quickly did the trick as a spot treatment scrub. My skin is only dry around my nose because of the irritation caused by constantly blowing it so I needed something that wasn’t runny, gentle, but effective and that’s exactly what this is (I’d almost say you could use this as an everyday cleanser if you have very dry skin because it’s so gentle). The beads are teeny tiny and a little goes a long way which is something to consider if price is an issue. While you might find an effective scrub at half this price, you’ll probably go through three bottles before this one is even half done.

Also worth singling out is StriVectin-SH Age Protect SPF 30/PA+++ ($49), which the brand just launched. It protects against both UVA/UVB rays (it has the highest PA grade UVA protection available, P+++), it’s oil-free, and has a patented NIA-114 molecule that studies showed helps stimulate DNA repair. Its also got botanical antioxidants like blueberry and goji berry to protect against collagen degradation and free radicals, rose and cucumber extracts to sooth, and soybean extract to strengthen skin.

  1. have you tried bio-allers homeopathic liquids (is alcohol based in case that is a problem).

i have found them to be great for both acute and chronic allergies.

seriously, from going around carrying a tissue box and/or major headaches to relief.

and staying hydrated really helps and can be hard with all this heat.
