First, I spotted the superhero-inspired, be-caped “Fabiana” shoe, which I clearly adored. Now the flipside of the same oddball coin: a pump with a rabbit tail at the heel. I want my shoes with some flair; I just don’t know if I need them with their own good luck charms.
Perhaps the problem lies in the severity of the color (the pale pink metallic on “Fabiana” made it a whimsical winner) and the traditionalism of the pump, a square-ish shape that’s almost dowdy, save for the asymmetry around the toe box.
A flourish of fur on a high heel tends to make me happy – Givenchy, anyone? – but gee, it’s just that Alexander Wang‘s rabbit tail looks so damn silly hanging there like that! (And I hate to say it, but even a little phallic. Eek!)
Creativity? Check. Sense of humor? Double check. Even maybe some luck on your side! But desirability? Not so much. At Saks Fifth Avenue
