Marc by Marc Jacobs “Bianca Dreams of Monte Carlo” Straw Satchel: Bianca Dreams in Blanca

“Bianca Dreams of Monte Carlo?” Uh, make that, “Kelly Dreams of Monte Carlo!” I love me a good square tote, and not only is Marc by Marc Jacobs‘ satchel fabulously shaped, it has major function in mind.

First, the creamy white is easy and not at all intimidating in finely woven straw (which won’t show or pick up dirt the way sleeker materials do). The tight weave is refined, giving this perkily squared-off bag a rich texture. White leather trim with gold hardware enhances the richness. Pockets on the gusset translate to quick access, without fussing up the perfect geometry. Add to that three inside pockets and it screams function.

And what’s this? A beachy surprise! The lining is the same multi-color stripe from Marc by Marc’s Spring ready-to-wear collection, one of my favorites of the season. For the price, this summer tote is truly a dream, wherever yours take you. I love that the texture hides dirt, but don’t even worry. Just have fun. This is a tote you should enjoy, throw around, without regretting a thing! At Saks Fifth Avenueicon for $358.
