Nothing beats the real thing, but this comes pretty close. Of course, I would love to own a real croc shopper like this big rectangular tote, but what the hell! Roberto Cavalli’s stamped leather looks amazing, and I can save my money for an adventure in the Amazon instead. This is about as good as crocodile-effect can get – and so luscious. So seductive, in fact, it gives bags that would cost six times this a run for their money. I mean, I’m starting to think I better sell my stocks of croc farms.
The classic north-south shape, tasteful minimalist handles, and chocolate hue is what I’m after. I am totally into old-world looks right now, and this reeks of antiqued elegance. I don’t even mind the engraved plaque hanging from the handle – it suits the globetrotter feel. The slight sheen makes for a truly antiquated look, and it also makes for a lustrous bag that will never wear out its welcome.
