The Givenchy Sacca was an instant classic when it hit the sales floor but for me, the size was much appreciated but the weight was not. When a bag is large, you inevitably throw more things in there making it exponentially heavier (and others, namely, the husband, think you’re now a pack mule and will ask you to carry his iPad, speakers, headphones, magazine…..). The solution of course is the same bag in nylon but textured with mini-quilts so it has the same richness as leather. It’s a total life saver!! No compromises on style and now your shoulder can take a breather. If you held back before, you now have no more excuses (speaking to myself, out loud). At Luisa Via Roma for $1079.
While I love Givenchy, and the Nighingale is one of the bags on my list that I have not purchased (but plan to)…. I refuse to buy a bag for over a thousand that is nylon…I guess I would prefer to pay the additional money and schlep the leather version.
Spoken straight from my heart! over 1K for a nylon bag as good looking as it might? MiuMiu had a bag a few seasons ago, similar shape but very soft leather for the same price as the Nylon bag featured here.
$1K is ridiculous for a fabric bag, no matter who makes it.
