Snob Essentials

Marc Jacobs:The Large Single polka-dot leather bag: Don’t judge a bag by it’s spots.

Feeling saucy this season? The Marc Jacobs Large Single polka-dot leather bag has just what you need to spice things up as the weather changes. The short handle with the detachable chain strap makes this an easy bag to carry for a day in the office or a night on the town. It’s large enough to pack your lunch in but small enough to squeak through the bathroom line at that crowded dive bar your best friend makes you go to because she sweats the bartender. The colors are perfect for the colder weather and the spots don’t make this bag look busy or tacky, they bring out a retro, classy feel to it making it very old school chic.

Pair this with a Plastic Island Harlow dress for a day date then jump into a wool blend mini from The Row for a night out on the town.

This bag is cute as a button and can be worn well into winter. Pick it up at Net-a-Porter for $995.

  1. I have a bag sob story that any bag snob could commiserate with. I had my Spring 2008 Marc Jacobs Bag on Bag, Fall 2007 Marc Jacobs Stone messenger and a chocolate brown Dior quilted Cannage Hobo STOLEN from my flat by a summer sublet. She dug through sealed and hidden boxes in my apartment, took an empty suitcase from my closet, loaded the goods in there and disappeared. My heart is completely broken. These were gifts from employers for my hard work and now they’re gone and on the arm of someone completely unworthy.

Katie Milleisen of Smithtown NY, I hope you are pleased with your handy work but please know, karma is a bitch…especially fashion karma.

    1. Very sorry for your loss… But trust me– somewhere down the line–she’ll get hers! Let’s just hope she recognizes it when it happens–because it WILL happen!
