There’s no question that Philosophy knows how to create a scent. I’m currently using one of their chocolate body washes and you ladies who love chocolate as much as I do can probably imagine how hard it is for me to resist the urge to drink the bottle! No joke it smells exactly like Serendipity’s Frozen Hot Chocolate – yum. I’m also using their Coconut Macaroon body lotion, which came in a holiday gift set I received last year and it’s fantastic as well. I tend to not like coconut-scented beauty finds, but this smells so much like a gourmet coconut macaroon that I can’t help but love it. Plus the formulation of the cream makes it firm enough to be moisturizing and absorb quickly without being hard to spread across the skin. Given that I’m such a fan of their scented body products it’s surprising that I’m not more into Philosophy’s perfumes. They all smell nice, but I’ve yet to find one that I’d actually want to wear.
The brand’s latest launch, You are Divine ($60), just came out this month. It’s a powdery mix of citrus and floral notes that’s hard to knock. Its got a classic feminine scent without being over-powering. I guess this type of scent is just not my cup of tea; I like muskier, punchier, more aggressive scents….I’m spoiled by how seductively original all of Tom Ford’s fragrance are I guess! For all of you who love Philosophy’s light, feminine fragrance however, I’m sure you’ll love You Are Divine, so check it out if you get the chance!
I love anything Philosophy puts out. I’m currently using one of the body washes, called “Bubbly” and I love it! They certainly know how to create wonderful scents! I’m going to have to try out this new fragrance.
