OPI Touring America Collection: Hit the Road

OPI has been all over the world on fabulous vacations, from nibbling tapas in Spain (“Malaga Wine,” anyone?) to exploring Moscow after dark (“Russian Navy” is still a staple) to tanning on the beach in Australia (“Tasmanian Devil Made Me Do It” pumps up tan feet). It only makes sense they would finally do a road trip across the states: meet the down-to-earth Touring America Collection.

From Seattle (“A-Taupe In the Space Needle” – enough said) to Tucson (“A Color to Diner For” is a rich, warm pink) to Baltimore (“Honk If You Love OPI” might replace “Lincoln Park After Dark”), OPI is leaving no city untouched by its manicured fingers. “Road House Blues,” a cryptic deep purple-tinged-blue that’s not quite navy, is my personal winner, as I’m feeling dark come mid-September, but I’m also charmed by pale gray – and the New Orleans inspiration behind “French Quarter for Your Thoughts.”

Now, I’m not so sure if creamy coral-orange brings to mind Milwaukee, Wisconsin – well, it is the collection’s closest shade to the color of cheese, if you think about it – but you’ve got to hand it to OPI for unceasing creativity. Besides, this collection is as varied as the States themselves: it’s got anything and everything you might want this fall. On Amazon for $7.50
