Hot on the heels of Versace’s big collaborative fashion show and high-energy collection, Marni is set to be joining the ranks of luxurious Italian fashion houses to team up with H&M.
I, for one, have not stood in line for anything since my teenage years trying to buy Duran Duran tickets, but I will be willing to sleep on the sidewalk for this. Marni is one my very favorites designers in the world, and from the looks it, Consuelo Castiglioni, is pulling out all the stops to infuse the real essence of Marni into the mega-brand. It’s all here: the smart prints, creative silhouettes, earthy-playful color palette, and even accessories – oh my god, the accessories look amazing! Which totally makes sense since I always had a hard time paying that much for plastic anyway. These full, pleated skirts, jacquard knits, mirror-slick pumps, and cropped pants will be snob staples come spring. I can’t wait to layer, match, and clash, just the way Consuelo intended.
It will be coming out just in time: available starting March 8, 2012 in over 250 stores worldwide and online.
