Prevage Night Anti-Aging Restorative Cream

I didn’t know just how many products Elizabeth Arden had till I went to their Red Door Spa a few weeks ago and discovered that there is so much more to them than just their namesake line (seriously….look!). Prevage is their luxury line and I’ve been using Prevage Night Anti-Aging Restorative Cream ($132), which recently launched, on and off for a little over a month. I was drawn to it because of some stats I was told about how a high percentage of women reported that it kept their skin moisturized all day, but what got me really excited about trying it was the packaging.

The night cream has an airless pump that you press to dispense the product and what’s great about that is that you not only don’t expose the cream to contaminants every time you take off the lid, but you don’t risk applying more product than your skin can absorb. I’m guilty of this myself — especially when I have a blemish or am looking sleep deprived — I think “more is more” and can sometimes tell that I’ve applied too much product on my face; with this Prevage cream you don’t need to worry about that (though you might need two pumps depending how hard you press).

The holidays are coming up and I know many of us are stressing about looking our best at all the parties and get-togethers that, that entails, so now is the time to load-up on nigh-time anti-aging creams since skin repairs itself and anti aging cream ingredients are most easily absorbed when we sleep. Plus, since we don’t sleep in the sun we don’t need sun protection so we can ditch the SPF and focus on creams and serums that will get the haggard-skin-fighting job done!

On a side note, I have very sensitive skin and when I have a bad reaction to a skincare product it shows within 24 hours. I haven’t had anything to complain about with this restorative cream and it is, like they claim, very moisturizing and devoid of a strong scent.
