Rosamosario Suede and Leopard-Print Calf-Hair Mules: Bottoms Up!

Minnie Mouse would be proud! When it comes to bows, I much prefer them to be overt and absurd, rather than delicate and ladylike. A bow is a cutesy, frivolous, flighty thing in the first place, so why air on the side of demure? Go over the top with your femininity and make no apologies for a big, statement-making bow.

Platform mules like these won’t be easy to tread on, but I don’t think Rosamosario is exactly going for walking shoes here. At 5.5” (with a 1.5” platform, thank god), these make for a major jolt of girlish height. Bordeaux suede packs a lot of visual stimulation in the front, but that’s nothing compared to the back view. Shiny leather buttons trace the height of the heel, but what really will make them say “oooh” is the leopard-print calf-hair sole: a touch of luxe that – dare I say it? – puts Louboutin to shame! On Net-a-Porter for $1,140.

Pair with: I would love to see these with my dream bag of the moment, Lanvin’s crocodile portfolio clutch. Soft gray is the perfect complimenting color to wine-colored shoes, but like these staying on my foot, this bag might remain a dream – it retails for $14,990
